Dans sa thèse de doctorat en Géographie menée de 2018 à 2021 au laboratoire Edytem de l’Université Savoie-Mont-Blanc, Emmanuel a interrogé l’influence du changement climatique et de ses conséquences pour les milieux de haute montagne sur le tourisme autour des grands glaciers alpins. Ses travaux à l’Université de Lausanne lui ont permis d’élargir ses recherches qui portent sur l’influence du changement climatique sur le tourisme et les pratiques récréatives de nature, à travers les questions d’adaptation, d’atténuation, mais également de transformations des comportements des pratiquants. Depuis septembre 2023, Emmanuel est Maître de Conférences en Géographie, rattaché au laboratoire CERTOP et chercheur associé au Centre Interdisciplinaire de Recherche sur la Montagne de l’Université de Lausanne.
Author's presentation
In his PhD thesis in Geography, carried out from 2018 to 2021 at the Edytem Laboratory of the University of Savoie-Mont-Blanc, Emmanuel studied the influence of climate change and its consequences for high mountain environments on tourism around the great Alpine glaciers. His work at the University of Lausanne (2022-2023) allowed him to broaden his research on the impact of climate change on tourism and outdoor recreation, addressing issues of adaptation and mitigation, as well as changes in user behaviour. Since September 2023, Emmanuel is Assistant Professor in Geography at the CERTOP Laboratory and Research Associate at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mountain Research of the University of Lausanne.
