Chinese and French sociologists have a long tradition of debate and exchange on the social phenomena. Despite the substantial différences between these two countries, they also share some striking similaities, as a strong State, a certain administrative tradition and a rather strong logic of centralization.
More recently, Chinese and French sociologists have developped new views on social phenomena and social sciences that this workshop will confront and debate. The communications will deal with various topics like working time, organizational change, poverty, reform, ecology, risk…in China and in France.
